About My Challenge

Welcome to My Ultimate Bake-Off Challenge!

I have been baking for as long as I can remember, but it's time for me to get serious about it! I want to push myself to the limits and broaden my knowledge of baking techniques. 

Over the next year, I will attempt to bake through every challenge from the Great British Bake-Off's 10 series history. 

I will follow instructions and time limits as closely as possible, and have my partner edit or hide instructions on technical recipes to mimic the challenges on the show. As I am lactose intolerant, I will be making these recipes lactose free, so that I am able to taste and adjust my flavours as I go. The judging, however, will be up to you, readers!

• Technical: Victoria Sponge Cake

• Showstopper: Chocolate Celebration Cake

Biscuit Week:

• Signature: Biscuits

• Technical: Scones

• Showstopper: Petit Fours - Choux Pastry, Meringues and Macarons    

Bread Week:

• Signature: Bread

• Technical: Cob

• Showstopper: Rolls (12 Sweet, 12 Savoury)

Pudding Week:

• Signature: Pudding

• Technical: Lemon Soufflé

• Showstopper: Trio of Puddings - Crumble, Bread, and Suet

Pastry Week:

• Signature: Savoury Pie

• Technical: Cornish Pasties

• Showstopper: Tarts and Canapés (Savoury and Sweet, 4 flavours)

Final:

• Signature: 24 Miniature Cakes

• Showstopper: 24 Miniature Tarts, 24 Scones, 24 Choux Buns, and 24 Finger Sandwiches
